Shri Arunkumar B. Shelke
Born on 30th Oct. 1947, educated in Amravati and obtained B.Sc. LLB. Degrees. He is life member of Shri Shivaji education Society and presently a President of the Society from 2007. Earlier he worked as senior councillor. He has worked as Legal Adviser to the weaker, poor and backward sections of the Society so as to enable them to get justice, equality and security regulating human conduct and relationship. He has provided Legal advices for various schemes of the Government undertaken for the welfare of public sector.
He worked towards implementation of “SHETKARI JAGRUTI ABHIYAN”. Through this mission the continuous efforts have been made to raise the moral strength and support to the farmers. The continuous efforts have been taken to impart social training to the common farmers mostly from Vidarbha region especially from that area where the unfortunate tendency for suicide is observed, so as to raise their moral and living standards. Organized of various “Krushi Mela”, "Symposium”, “Seminars”, "Demonstration”, “Training Workshops” so as to provide the latest technology in the field of agriculture to common farmers. For this purpose special efforts were taken and continuously making efforts to motivate a farmer through “BHARAT KURSHAK SAMAJ” established by Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh. Approximately 5000 farmers were benefited by this mission up to the date
Under his leadership Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati conferred "Maharashtra Nirmata Award" by Social Scientific and Public Literature Society, Parbhani. It was also honored with 'Indian Leadership Award for Education Excellence'(2010-2011) the prestigious award in education field. Indian Economic Development and Research Association (IEDRA) New Delhi, carried out an extensive survey in the country and selected personalities doing excellent work in different fields. IEDRA selected the name of the President of Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati for the excellent contribution in the education field. “Dr.Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Award” (2012) was conferred by ‘Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik’ for land-mark contribution in the Education field. Also “Karmvir Bhaurao Patil” Award was conferred for one of the best Administrator of the Education Society. Under his prsesidentship, keeping Dr. Panjabrao Alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh’s vision as a focus for further development of society, we strives towards taking the society to a higher level of achievements.
